Some more information has emerged on the injures that Mike Maignan and Ruben Loftus-Cheek sustained during Saturday’s 0-0 draw against Juventus.

As we reported yesterday following a medical bulletin sent out by the club, Maignan and Loftus-Cheek both suffered low-grade injuries to their adductor and hamstring respectively.  The goalkeeper missed the game after sustained the issue during warm-ups, while the midfielder came off in the second half.

According to what is being reported by Tuttosport (via Radio Rossonera), the fact that they have low-grade injuries is good news because it is nothing too serious for both the Frenchman and the Englishman. The recovery time is expected to be around two weeks.

That means that they should return for the away match against Torino, but they will definitely skip Sunday’s game against Genoa at San Siro and most likely the one against Cagliari at home after that as well.

It means Marco Sportiello is heading for another couple of starts in goal after keeping a clean sheet against Juve, while some shuffling will be needed in midfield to cover for the absence of RLC. It is possible that Christian Pulisic could be used as a playmaker again, with Samuel Chukwueze then on the right.
